INGLEWOOD, Calif. – July 26, 2018 – Centinela Hospital Medical Center today announced that it has been named one of America’s 100 Great Community Hospitals in 2018, according to a study released July 23 by Becker’s Hospital Review. Centinela Hospital is the only Los Angeles-based hospital and one of six California hospitals to make the list.
“Centinela Hospital is honored to be recognized by Becker’s Hospital Review for the fourth year in a row as one of the top 100 Great Community Hospitals nationally,” said Linda Bradley, CEO for Centinela Hospital Medical Center. “We work incredibly hard to ensure we maintain and deliver local, high-quality healthcare services to our community and, as the only Los Angeles-based hospital to continuously make this list, it’s a testament to our physicians, nurses, and staff who dedicate themselves to our mission of providing exceptional patient care every day.”
The Becker’s Hospital Review editorial team selected hospitals for inclusion based on rankings and awards from organizations such as the National Rural Health Association, iVantage Health Analytics, Truven Health Analytics, Healthgrades, CareChex, the American Nurses Credentialing Center, and The Leapfrog Group.

Becker’s has published a version of this list annually since 2011. For the purposes of this list, Becker’s defines a ‘community hospital’ as one with fewer than 550 beds that have minimal teaching programs. Hospitals included on the Becker’s list are recognized for quality, patient satisfaction, and overall excellence and play a key role in their communities as the centerpiece for health care in many occasions.
