Hospital Receives 5-Star Performance Recognition in Nine Additional Treatments, Procedures and Specialties from Healthgrades
Centinela Hospital Medical Center today announced that it achieved 5-Star performance in nine treatments, procedures, and specialties from Healthgrades, the leading online resource for comprehensive information about physicians and hospitals. In addition, Healthgrades named Centinela Hospital among the top 5% in the nation for Cardiology Services.
The achievement is part of findings featured in the Healthgrades 2020 Report to the Nation, which underscores the importance of hospital quality to both consumers and hospital executives. Every year, Healthgrades evaluates hospital performance at nearly 4,500 hospitals nationwide for 32 of the most common inpatient procedures and conditions using Medicare data, and all-payer data from 15 states for bariatrics and appendectomy procedures.*
“The hospitals that stand out for exceptional performance in Cardiology Services should be commended for their long-standing commitment to quality,” said Brad Bowman, MD, Chief Medical Officer at Healthgrades. “As consumers are increasingly savvy when it comes to finding and selecting a hospital, patients can be confident when they select a hospital that has achieved this Healthgrades recognition.”
Centinela Hospital Medical Center was named a 5-Star recipient for these nine specific treatments, procedures, and specialties:
- Treatment of Heart Failure for 7 Years in a Row (2014-2020)
- Defibrillator Procedures for 6 Years in a Row (2015-2020)
