Recently renovated, it features 6 large and comfortable Labor Delivery Recovery Postpartum (LDRP) birthing suites, a C-section operating room, 11 standalone postpartum rooms, a triage area, and dual nursing stations.

Baby-Friendly Designation
Centinela Hospital is proud to be designated as a Baby-Friendly Hospital by Baby-Friendly USA, Inc., the accrediting body and national authority for BFHI in the United States, to help encourage breastfeeding for mothers who choose to do so . Our Baby-Friendly goals include:
- Skin-to-skin contact immediately after birth
- Baby to stay with mothers 23 out of 24 hours per day
- Exclusive breastfeeding for 6 months
Level II NICU
While we hope you’ll never have to use our neonatal intensive care unit, you can take comfort in knowing it’s available in case of an emergency. Our 9-bed NICU offers a wide range of up-to-date medical technology in a friendly, comfortable, and quiet environment. Our staff has specialized training and experience and is dedicated to caring for babies who have complications, often working on a one-to-one basis with an infant who needs constant attention.
Once settled in the unit, your baby will be frequently fed, weighed, bathed, and given developmental therapy based on their condition and how well they are tolerating stimulation. Your baby will be closely monitored by staff throughout their stay in the NICU, and parents are encouraged to visit with their baby as much as possible to encourage interaction and bonding.
