Welcome to Centinela Hospital Maternity Services

There’s a miracle in every beginning.

Centinela Hospital Medical Center offers a maternity center with modern, beautifully furnished labor and delivery suites. We are ready to welcome your newest addition with open hearts and to guide you through your birthing experience.

Through mid-October, Centinela Hospital’s Maternal Child Department will continue to support the care, development, and well-being of pregnant women, new parents, and their babies. At the same time, we are planning to expand our capacity to care for patients with varying healthcare needs. Centinela Hospital is pleased to offer growing families an affiliated Women and Children’s Center of Excellence at nearby St. Francis Medical Center (link to their maternity page), a member hospital of Prime Healthcare.

Centinela Hospital Medical Center is a Welcome Baby participating hospital. Funded by First 5 LA, Welcome Baby offers pregnant women in Los Angeles County information, support, and resources during pregnancy, following delivery, and up through the baby’s first critical months. The program aims to strengthen and support Los Angeles County neighborhoods and families by providing resources and access to activities that support the care, development, and well-being of pregnant women, new parents, and their babies.

Maternal Health Services Closure Public Notice

(July 25, 2023) Centinela Hospital Medical Center has had the privilege of delivering tens of thousands of babies to Inglewood families, and the decision to close our program means we will redirect resources to where there is a greater community need. The demand for maternal health services at our hospital is not what it once was, and this leads us to focus on growing other essential services based on community needs. Serving the healthcare needs of our patients today and into the future, remains our top priority. Our community depends on us, and we will continue to invest in services that are most critically needed. Click here to read the Maternal Child Services Closure Public Notice

  • Skin-to-skin contact immediately after birth

While we hope you’ll never have to use our neonatal intensive care unit, you can take comfort in knowing it’s available in case of an emergency.
