Naira Abgaryan: Naira was drawn to Internal Medicine for its blend of intellectual challenge and the opportunity to build meaningful, long – term patient relationships. Her prior work in addiction medicine deepened her appreciation for the specialty’s diagnostic range and whole – person approach to care. Naira chose Centinela Hospital for its dedication to underserved populations and its welcoming, growth – focused environment. Naira is particularly interested in Endocrinology and hopes to either practice in an underserved area in the U.S. or return to Armenia to contribute to healthcare and education. Her hobbies include boxing and dancing Kizomba, a genre of African – Angolan dance – two interests she embraces for their contrast and energy.
Fatima Arain: Fatima sees Internal Medicine as the perfect intersection of clinical reasoning and relationship – based care. She is drawn to the spatiality’s diagnostic variety and the opportunity to build long – term trust with patients. Centinela Hospital’s mission to serve underserved communities and its location in the heart of LA resonated deeply with her goals. Fatima is interested in Pulmonary and Critical Care but remains open to exploring other areas during residency. She enjoys cooking fusion meals, going on long walks, and traveling to new destinations.
Himal Bhattarai: Himal views Internal Medicine as the foundation of all medical specialties, with the added benefit of continuous learning and broad clinical application. He was drawn to Centinela Hospital for its inclusive environment and diverse patient population. As a strong advocate for global health, Himal aspires to become both a physician and an educator, sharing knowledge with future healthcare professionals. He is particularly interested in Cardiology and is excited to deepen that focus during residency. Outside the hospital, he enjoys playing guitar and singing, along with immersing himself in the cultures and cuisines he encounters through travel.
Sahitya Dantuluri: Sahitya’s experiences in both India and the U.S. deepened her appreciation for Internal Medicine, particularly the way internists manage complex cases with empathy and precision. She values Centinela’s supportive and hands- on clinical environment, which she sees as an ideal setting to develop into a skilled hospitalist and educator. Sahitya’s clinical interests include Cariology and Endocrinology, and she looks forward to gaining exposure in both to help guide her future path. Outside of work, Sahitya enjoys reading high fantasy novels – especially those by Brandon Sanderson – to unwind and recharge.
Kavya Jammula: Kavya was inspired to pursue Internal Medicine because of its dynamic nature and the intellectual challenge of managing complex cases. She values the specialty’s emphasis on continuity and the opportunity to form long – term, meaningful relationships with patients. Kavya chose Centinela Hospital for its commitment to serving a diverse community and providing strong clinical training. Kavya is especially interested in Cardiology and Gastroenterology and looks forward to further exploring both. Outside of medicine, she enjoys sketching, traveling, and spending time with her family.
Vamshi Reddy Matli: Vamshi chose Internal Medicine for its broad clinical scope and diagnostic complexity. He values the specialty’s continuity of care and opportunity for lifelong learning. Centinela Hospital stood out to him for its well – balanced training, autonomy- supportive environment, and emphasis on multidisciplinary collaboration. Vamshi, though undecided on a subspeciality, is currently considering Interventional Cardiology and Gastroenterology. He enjoys cooking, playing cricket and volleyball, watching sitcoms, and spending time with his family.
Vyshnav Menon: Vyshnav was drawn to Internal Medicine after his early medicine training on Physiology and Pathophysiology confirmed it as the right fit. He values the specialty’s holistic approach and the opportunity to see the body as an interconnected system. Centinela Hospital stood out to him for its balance of professional growth and community engagement. Vyshnav is especially interested in Cardiology and is open to building his career in California or wherever he can make the most impact. Vyshnav is an avid chess player, a die – hard cricket fan, and enjoys traveling and playing the violin.
Dheevena Reddy: Dheevena was drawn to Internal Medicine for its breadth – from common conditions to complex chronic diseases – and its collaborative nature across specialties to provide comprehensive care. She was attracted to Centinela Hospital for its diverse patient population and its mission to improve healthcare access for the underserved. After her residency, Dheevena hopes to practice in a culturally rich environment where she can continue to serve marginalized communities. Her interests currently lie in inpatient medicine, and she’s excited to explore subspecialty options during her residency. In her free time, Dheevena enjoys trying cuisines from around the world and discovering new places.
Diana Rojas Torres: Diana is passionate about solving complex clinical cases and fostering long – term patient relationships, which led her to Internal Medicine. She chose Centinela Hospital for its diverse patient base and strong emphasis on hands – on, resident – focused training. While open to exploring multiple specialties, Diana is especially interested in Endocrinology for its complexity and its focus on continuity of care. She is committed to building her career in California. Outside of medicine, Diana enjoys Zumba, which helps her stay active, manage stress, and maintain a healthy lifestyle.
Anita Tamang Waiba: Anita was drawn to Internal Medicine for its intellectual challenge and its focus on holistic, patient – centered care. She appreciates how the specialty encourages critical thinking while remaining grounded in human connection. Centinela Hospital’s strong emphasis on resident development and community care made it a perfect fit for her. Anita hopes to practice as a general internist and make a lasting impact in underserved communities. Anita is also passionate about photography, travel, and health education, and enjoys capturing cultural stories through her lens.
Ani Tavaratsyan: Ani finds Internal Medicine intellectually stimulating and values the teamwork it requires to deliver high – quality patient care. As a Cardiologist in her home country, she compares the specialty to chess – a complex, strategic, and deeply engaging. Ani chose Centinela Hospital for its strong commitment to underserved populations and its location in Los Angeles, which allows her to remain close to family and friends. Ani plans to pursue a Cardiology fellowship in the U.S., ideally combing clinical work with academic teaching. Outside of medicine, she enjoys skiing with her young son and has travelled to over 15 counties, with many more on her list.
Harisharan Shrestha: Harisharan chose Internal Medicine for its wide clinical scope and the ability to build enduring relationships with patients. He was drawn to Centinela Hospital’s mission of community – based care and its steadfast commitment to clinical excellence. Harisharan’s long – term goal is to return to Nepal and serve rural, underserved communities. He is especially interested in pursing a fellowship in Gastroenterology. Outside of medicine, Harisharan enjoys running and cooking.
Aakash Acharya: Aakash chose to practice Internal Medicine due to his early exposure to patients being treated in resource-limited settings, relying on clinical history and physical examination. Throughout his experience in various clinical settings in his home country, he found great satisfaction in the complexity of diagnosing and treating patients without the need for surgical intervention. Aakash was drawn to Centinela Hospital Medical Center due to his belief that California is one of the most desirable places to live in the US. He was looking for a program that offers a vibrant atmosphere with a wide range of clinical experiences and chances for personal growth. In the future, Aakash aspires to make a difference in the underserved community of Inglewood, CA. Additionally, he plans to share his knowledge and mentor medical students through an online platform, such as YouTube. He has a strong interest in specializing in Cardiology or Pulmonary and Critical Care. Aakash enjoys playing sports, particularly table tennis and soccer.
Yaw Goh Asare: Yaw decided to practice Internal Medicine because of the wide range of career options it offers. This field allows him to explore different paths and find the one that aligns with his interests and goals. It also provides him with the flexibility to adjust and prioritize his personal and professional fulfillment. Yaw was drawn to Centinela Hospital Medical Center due to its physician-led approach, which offers an excellent opportunity for him to enhance his clinical skills and prepare for future leadership roles in healthcare. His future plans involve continuing his career in general internal medicine as a hospitalist, with a desire to also explore teaching opportunities. Yaw has a keen interest in pursuing a specialization in either cardiology or gastroenterology. Yaw has an intriguing background rooted in Ghanaian Akan Culture. It is customary to bestow the name Yaw upon a male child born on a Thursday.
Justin Besharat: Justin chose to practice Internal Medicine due to his appreciation for patient-centered care and the collaborative approach to diagnosing and treating complex medical conditions. Justin was attracted to Centinela Hospital Medical Center due to the wide range of patients they serve and the emphasis they place on the well-being of their physicians and staff. In the future, Justin hopes to stay in Los Angeles and work in a clinical and hospital setting. He has a strong interest in specializing in Cardiology in order to have the opportunity to work closely with Centinela Hospital Medical Center. Justin’s hobbies include fishing with his family and friends.
Shoghi Djoko: Shoghi chose to practice Internal Medicine due to its ability to develop meaningful connections with patients, enabling physicians to enhance their overall well-being. Shoghi chose Centinela Hospital Medical Center because of his current employment with Prime Healthcare. He saw it as the perfect opportunity to enhance his training and make a meaningful difference within the minority population in Inglewood. In the future, Shoghi intends to practice medicine in the United States while also participating in global outreach activities to enhance health outcomes in developing nations. His area of interest lies in specializing in oncology. Shoghi enjoys playing soccer and participating in various outdoor activities.
Sonitha Ganta: Sonitha decided to practice in Internal Medicine because she believes her strong communication skills and problem-solving skills makes her best suited for Internal Medicine. Her effective communication skills allow her to establish rapport with patients, ensuring they feel heard and understood throughout their healthcare journey. Sonitha is aptitude for problem solving enables her to approach complex medical cases with critical thinking and adaptability. Her skills, combined with her passion for proving comprehensive and compassionate care, makes internal medicine a natural fit for her. Sonitha was drawn to Centinela Hospital Medical Center due to its diverse patient population. In the future, Sonitha aspires to practice as a hospitalist near Inglewood. She has a strong interest in specializing in critical care and endocrinology. Sonitha enjoys listing to music, star gazing, and trying different coffee shops.
Habib Latif: Habib chose to practice Internal Medicine due to his strong interest in being a hospitalist. Habib was attracted to Centinela Hospital Medical Center due to his previous experience completing an observer-ship there. He was impressed by the energetic atmosphere of the Internal Medicine group and the willingness of everyone to contribute to the well-being of others. In the future, his goal is to continue working at Centinela Hospital Medical Center as an attending physician. Habib is interested in specializing in Nephrology, Endocrine, or Cardiology. Habib enjoys reading, expanding their knowledge, and exploring new places through travel.
Omotunde Olagunju: Omotunde chose to practice Internal Medicine because her previous experience as a doctor has reinforced her passion for the field. She is drawn to the fascinating science and the collaborative nature of Internal Medicine, which allows her to engage with brilliant minds from various medical disciplines. This environment fosters her personal growth and enables her to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care. Omotunde was drawn to Centinela Hospital Medical Center due to its reputation as a prominent center for exposure to a wide range of patients. This environment will provide her with valuable opportunities to gain knowledge about various clinical pathologies. In the future, Omotunde aspires to become an internist dedicated to providing healthcare to underserved communities. Omotunde is considering becoming an internist, but she is also open to exploring other fields of specialization during her training. She enjoys dancing, karaoke, and traveling in her free time.
Yeswanth Raparla: Yeswanth decided to practice internal medicine because it tests his ability to think critically and solve problems by managing complicated illnesses and identifying challenging cases. Yeswanth was attracted to Centinela Hospital Medical Center due to its rich history, esteemed reputation, and the diverse community it caters to. Yeswanth aspires to work as a hospitalist in California in the future. Yeswanth has a strong interest in cardiology and is open to exploring other areas of specialization as well. Yeswanth enjoys exploring new places, spending time in nature, and going on outdoor adventures.
Madhavi Ravulapalli: Madhavi decided to practice Internal Medicine due to its holistic patient care approach across multiple systems which offers a diverse career path. In the future, Madhavi would like to explore varies subspecialties. She has a strong interest in specializing in cardiology. Yashwanth Vemoori: Yashwanth decided to practice Internal Medicine due to its ability to provide a profound comprehension of intricate medical conditions and enable holistic patient care. He was attracted to internal medicine for its intellectual challenges and the chance to greatly impact the lives of patients. Yashwanth was drawn to Centinela Hospital Medical Center due to the opportunity to be part of a thriving medical community, working alongside multidisciplinary teams, and serving a diverse patient population in Inglewood, CA. Yashwanth hopes to become a hospitalist in California in the future because of the state’s broad healthcare landscape and his desired lifestyle. Sandra Alex-Ojei: Sandra decided to specialize in internal medicine because she enjoys interacting with patients and appreciates the variety of clinical cases that enhance her critical thinking skills. Sandra was drawn to Centinela Hospital due to the diverse staff and patient population, along with the emphasis on community healthcare and socio-economic disparities, a cause she deeply cares about. Sandra’s future plans involve becoming a hospitalist, but she is also willing to explore other opportunities during her training. Sandra’s passion lies in Cardiology as a specialty. Her hobbies include poetry, fictional writing, and fashion.
Saira Ali: Saira’s decision to specialize in internal medicine was influenced by her passion for the daily variety it offers and the vast amount of knowledge to be gained. Saira was drawn to Centinela Hospital due to the diverse population it serves and its location. Saira plans to remain in California and pursue a fellowship position after completing residency. Saira has yet to choose a specialty and is looking forward to discovering inspiration during her residency training. One of Saira’s hobbies is traveling, coming from the UK she has been able to explore much of Europe and is eager to explore the Unites States.
Sana Ansari: Sana’s decision to specialize in Internal Medicine stems from its comprehensive approach to patient care. She is dedicated to offering primary care to adult patients, assisting them in preventing and managing illnesses and adverse events, and ultimately enhancing their quality of life. She was drawn to Centinela Hospital because of its dedication to offering top-notch care to underserved communities following her residency, Sana intends to practice as an internist in California. She has a keen interest in Cardiology, Nephrology, and Endocrinology and is excited to expand her understanding and expertise in these areas throughout her residency. Her hobbies include practicing yoga, playing badminton, tending to house plants, cooking for loved ones, and relaxing at the beach.
Aishwarya Bollampally: Aishwarya decided to specialize in Internal Medicine because of the opportunity it offers for continuous learning and growth through challenging cases. She values the analytical thinking required to handle various illnesses and patient groups, leading to the need for sound judgment and continuous personal growth as a physician. Aishwarya was attracted to Centinela Hospital due to its focus on providing hands-on experience with a diverse patient population as a community-based healthcare center. Aishwarya demonstrates a strong inclination for providing inpatient care and aspires of working as a hospitalist or pursuing a fellowship in the future. At the moment, Aishwarya is exploring every specialty; she does not have a specific area of interest. Aishwarya enjoys sketching and photography. She enjoys seeking out thrilling experiences and never shies away from an exciting challenge.
Nabila Khalil: Nabila decided to specialize in Internal Medicine because of the variety of option it provides her, it allows her to treat the patient as a whole and gives her the ability to have connect with the patients through follow ups and witnessing their recovery. Nabila was attracted to Centinela Hospital because of the family environment here. After residency, Nabila hopes to continue practicing medicine in California and give back to the diverse community. Nabila’s hobbies include coloring and playing with her daughters.
Romy Neuner: Romy chose Internal Medicine because she loves the challenges and the rewards the profession offers. Romy was attracted to Centinela Hospital because of how welcome she felt during her rotation here, she states that the faculty members were very motivated about teaching. In the future, Romy hopes to build her own practice and stay in Los Angeles. She is interested in specializing in Cardiology as well as primary care medicine. Romy’s hobbies include playing tennis and traveling.
Aashvi Patel: Aashvi chose to practice Internal Medicine because she finds the challenges of complex problems and the ever-growing sea of knowledge provided by internal medicine fascinating. Aashvi was attracted to Centinela Hospital because she wanted to serve the underserved population and help lessen the health care disparities. Aashvi is interested in specializing in pulmonology and critical care. Her hobbies include drawing, painting, fashion design, tennis, and badminton.
Vithi Patel: Vithi decided to specialize in Internal Medicine due to her appreciation for the rewarding experience of diagnosing and treating common medical conditions, the continuous opportunities for learning and intellectual growth that this field offers, and the meaningful connections she forms with her patients. Vithi was drawn to Centinela Hospital due to its size and the opportunities it offers to become a skilled internalist. The hospital’s diverse range of pathologies and the people at Centinela were also factors that appealed to her. Vithi has aspirations of pursuing a career in medicine and hopes to work in an outpatient clinic located in Los Angeles. Vithi is interested in hematology/oncology and infectious disease, but she is determined to approach her residency with an open mind and explore all the different subspecialties. She enjoys spending her free time hiking, baking, and indulging in her favorite TV shows and movies.
Ridhima Reddy: Ridhima decided to pursue Internal Medicine due to her appreciation for the intricacy of the work and the daily satisfaction she derives from caring for patients. Ridhima was drawn to Centinela Hospital Medical Center due to its commitment to serving the underserved population. In the future, Ridhima intends to provide medical care in an underserved area. Ridhima finds great satisfaction in working with inpatient medicine, while also having a strong curiosity to explore the various specialties within internal medicine. Her hobbies include tennis, painting by numbers, and reading comics.
Kavya Somu: Kavya chose Internal Medicine because it is the backbone of all other specialties. Kavya was attracted to Centinela because of the faculty, the location, and the hospitals principle in giving the best patient care as possible. After residency, Kavya would like to complete fellowship. She is interested in specializing in Cardiology. Her hobbies include learning new skills.
Carolyn Tran: Carolyn chose Internal Medicine for the opportunity to establish rapport and trust with her patients which she believes will lead to better patient care. Carolyn was attracted to Centinela Hospital because it gave her the opportunity to practice medicine close to her home and allows her to serve her community. Carolyn is interested in specializing in Cardiology. Her hobbies include snowboarding and hiking.
Justin Yadegar: Justin chose to practice Internal Medicine because it gives him the opportunity to combine clinical diagnostics on a wide range of complex and common conditions with a personalized and compassionate approach to medicine. Justin was attracted to Centinela Hospital because of the hospitals reputation to attract high-quality employees that want to work for an organization that is respected and well regarded for its passionate care of the surrounding community. Justin’s hobbies include music, cars, traveling, and fitness.
